There are no limits as for our activities and ideas - be they connected with publishing, research, art, either widely public, or for a small "auditorium of users" - as long as they aim at:

  • Politics of more togetherness in producing, distributing and promoting our editions;
  • Organizing events and forums which would keep open a polylogue about problems in creating and publishing humanities in Bulgaria;
  • Representation vis-à-vis public and private institutions.

   Our working on different projects are guided by searching for a higher professional ethos in the publishing community; a dialogue with the community of readers; a cooperation with the academic community in humanities, belles lettres, and arts.

    Our Society welcomes any ideas and partnerships!

State Subsidies for Media in Bulgaria –
Are They Transparent Enough, and Do They Defend the Public Interest?

(2008 - finished)

The project aimed at initiating a public discussion about Bulgarian media legislation, and especially its principles of subsidizing so-called "public media".
A few renowned media experts helped BSPH in working on the project. It was supported by the Open Society Institute - Sofia.
The project started in May 2008 and its first phase ended in the end of the year.
